Pilot!

Hello,

Before anything, welcome to my blog. Just like many series have Pilots, this blog is one of mine. A small exploration into the world of content and blogging. A channel for creative expression and turning my real-life experiences into stories. Finding the appropriate name for my blog was a mind-boggling and challenging task, more than the content and the website. I found many names, but they just did not click or fit well. It was like finding the perfect spot for a jigsaw puzzle piece. The one that takes ages to finish. I found my eureka moment on Pinterest. The app that I resort to for creative motivations for finishing college projects. I wanted this tiny place that I can call mine on the internet to be authentic to my personality and a place for wholesome content. Suddenly I saw it on my Pinterest home page, “Meraki” in big, bold words with its meaning, “the essence of oneself that one puts into their work.” Literally translating what I felt when I was initially working on developing the website and the blog page.

The idea of creating a personal blog first came to me during the summer of 2021; with my first year of college over and my internship is done, I had an ample amount of time on my hands. Being bored out of my brain from watching countless movies and indulging in mindless scrolling through Instagram, I had decided it was time to do something exciting and new; why not start a blog rather than doing trends on Instagram reels. I did not have to wrack my brain on topics I wanted to write on; it just came to me. Lifestyle, travel, the experience of being a uni student was all I wanted to talk about. Coming out soon with more pieces of content very soon.
